I am thrilled (nae honored) to be a sponsor for the first official exhibition for the D'town Arts Coalition. I've had the privilege of meeting many of these talent artist at the Nights @D'town Deck of Arts. For quite some time I have been impressed that there is a connection between art and society. Despite the historical evidence supporting this assertion, too few seem to grasp it until it's too late. Well, let me tell you, these guys get it!
SuperFancy will be held November 5, 2011 from 6pm - 10pm at Cafe' 230 on Pine Ave. in Downtown Albany, GA.
SuperFancy. A misnomer? A name laced with sarcasm? Yes, and no. I see no need to wear a bow-tie or anything, but this is not some upper story, thrown together event. We're talking for real deal catering, hors d'oeuvres, wine selection, fine art, mingling, networking, works purchasing and above all experiencing the art that D'town Albany has to offer. (Not to mention a spoken word performance.)
All of this to say that I am very excited about this event, and I am so glad to be a part of this auspicious affair. The artist were kind enough to allow me to snap a few shots to give you a glimpse at some of their work. All of these and more will be featured in SuperFancy November 5th.
