Think Local

I am excited to be involved with the Think Local campaign through the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce.  I have loved and supported small and local businesses for as long as I've had money in my pockets.  However, because I like to play the Devil's Advocate, I have argued with myself on this point a bit too.  Isn't it important to support the National and Global economy and not just the Local economy?  I mean, after all, I am a capitalist.  Shouldn't I just buy the best mouse trap for the best price?

Answer: I "think local" precisely because I am a capitalist!

Open House

Join us on Thursday, January 8th, for a ribbon cutting or drop in any time from 4:30 - 6:30! We'd love to show you the new place. Help us celebrate being in our new location in the Old Northside Historic District.

Honest Business Image

I am always telling people, "Trust your designer."  Even if your designer is not me, trust your designer.  However, it occurred to me recently that not all designers are honest.  Not all creative people are honest about who they are or what kind of work they do or what kind of price they charge or ... whatever.  It's shocking; I know.  There are creative professionals who claim to care about content but just wow everyone with bells and whistles.  There are those who claim to specialize but undercut every dog walker in town just to get a job.  They are not honest about what kind of a business they run.  So, what is my advice to those who have a designer (or other creative professional) who is not honest?  This is not something I say often because I think that one's work should speak for itself, but my advice is this.  If you your creative professional is not honest fire him, and hire one you can trust.

Yes, we've moved our business.  Don't worry we are still in the greater downtown area, but we have moved up a street or two.  Our new location is officially 312 W Residence.  We bought a little house that has been renovated into office space and have cozied into a great little block.  Our neighbors are great, and we are very excited to be here.  We've actually got a lot of room—way more room than we need.  In fact, if you know of someone wanting to move their business to downtown Albany ...

In all seriousness, we'd love for you to come take a look at the new place.  We are working with the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce to do a ribbon cutting.  We'll keep you posted on when that is.  In the meantime, here are some pictures for you to look at instead.  Hope you like 'em!

It's almost Thanksgiving which means all anyone is thinking about is Christmas.  (Poor old Thanksgiving.)  Christmas, of course, means Christmas cards, which means photography, which means proper scenery, which means location scouting.  It can be pretty tough.  The style of your pictures will drastically alter where you take your pictures.  The challenge is that you often don't know what kind of picture you really want until you see them.  What is the solution to this age-old dilemma?  Got me.  But, what I suggest is this: take your pictures in Downtown Albany, GA.  In downtown Albany you have a plethora of different picture perfect sceneries all within walking distance.  Don't believe me?  I'll prove it!
